We have just completed training courses in “Retort Process Design” and “Applied Extrusion Technology” in Thailand, in association with the Institute for Food research & Product Development at Kasetsart University. In addition, an on-site “Retort Process Optimisation” seminar was presented to tuna and petfood cannery Thai Union Manufacturing.
Coming courses:
- The next Australian “Food & Feed Extrusion Technology”course is being held at CSIRO Werribee from 17 to 19 August. Only a few places left in the course, so if you are interested, register as oon as possible.
- Choice of two Retort Supervisor’s (Thermal Processing) courses: For convenience of attendees – and with slightly different emphasis – we are offering courses in both Qld and Victoria. The course in Victoria is planned for 15 to 18 September at GoTAFE, Shepparton. This course uses the pilot Lagarde retort at GoTAFE. The course in Qld will be held at the premises of BNY Trading at Arundel on the Gold Coast, from 6 to 9 October. The Qld course will include opportunity for can seam analysis training, and will utilise both a saturated steam and and overpressure retort for practical work. Both courses will go ahead if sufficient registrations are received, but one may be cancelled if there are insufficient participants – please register early.
