Overview:
This two-day course is presented by FoodStream, a team of experienced food technologists, food engineers, business development consultants and industry speakers. So come along and share in a wealth of technical and marketing expertise to assist you to commercialise your food ideal.
The course provides an introduction to business and marketing issues, combined with basic food preservation, safety, and processing information. Legislative issues relating to food standards and labeling are also introduced.

Where: Springwood, Brisbane
Registration Fee: $500 + GST per person for the first registration, and $400.00 + GST for each additional registration received together from the same company.
A discount of 10% is available for registrations received by 8 February 2008.
Registration deadline: Places cannot be guaranteed for registrations received after 14 March 2008.
The registration fee includes handout notes, lunches, and morning and afternoon teas.

Presenters:
The course is presented by a range of speakers highly experienced in areas of food processing, marketing & distribution, and food legislation. Case studies are presented by people who have developed their own food businesses.
Who should attend?
This course is developed specifically for start-up companies and existing small businesses in the food processing sector, seeking an understanding of the issues involved and steps required in developing a new product and introducing it to the market.

The venue for the course is the Springwood Tower Apartment Hotel, 9 Murrajong Road, Springwood, 4127.
The Springwood Tower Apartment Hotel is conveniently located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and is easily accessible from the Sunshine Coast via the Gateway Motorway.
Accommodation & Meals
Participants must arrange their own accommodation if required.
Accommodation is available at the Springwood Tower Apartment Hotel at a special rate for course participants: $154.00 per night for a one bedroom apartment (1 - 2 people sharing). Cancellation policy:
Fees, less a 10% handling charge, will be refunded if participants cancel their registration 14 days or more prior to the course. Fees will not be refunded after that date, but a substitute participant will be accepted at any time.
FoodStream reserves the right to cancel or postpone the course if necessary (eg insufficient registrations). In this case a full refund of fees will be available.
